Health Insurance

The students are in good hands! Health insurance is included in the program, giving students access to medical care if needed. The insurance covers a broad network of healthcare providers, including the hospitals closest to the campuses and student residences in Madrid and Segovia, ensuring convenient and timely care. In all situations, students will of course be accompanied by an IE staff member.

Emergency Contact During the Program

Each program edition is led by a dedicated Edition Director who serves as the primary point of contact for parents throughout the program. The Edition Director is on site and available 24/7 to support parents, students and address any concerns that may arise.

Every edition also has its own dedicated emergency contact line. One week prior to the start of the program, you will receive a personalized email with all relevant emergency phone numbers and important contact details.

Student Supervision & Staff Support

Our program is supported by trained coaches, with a ratio of 3 coaches for every 20 students. In addition, students are overseen by experienced Head Coaches and an IE Staff Program Director, who is present with the group 24/7. We provide continuous supervision at all times, including overnight supervision, to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all students throughout the program.

Code of Conduct

At IE, we are proud of our diverse and international community, bringing together students from all over the world. We believe that this diversity enriches the learning experience and fosters mutual understanding, respect, and personal growth. All students are expected to behave responsibly and to treat others with kindness, respect, and consideration at all times. Our Code of Conduct is designed to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone feels valued and secure.

Program Participation & Leave Policy

To ensure the safety of all students and to help them fully engage in the program, students are not allowed to receive outside visits or leave the program site during the two-week session. This policy allows students to disconnect from daily distractions and immerse themselves in the experience, fostering personal growth, new friendships, and full participation in all activities. is educational and supportive, helping students understand expectations, take responsibility for their actions, and grow within our community.

Phone Use & Staying Present

Students are welcome to keep their phones with them at all times except during class, allowing parents to contact them directly whenever needed. At the same time, we encourage students to engage fully in the program and the experiences around them, using their phones as little as possible during, activities, and social moments. This balance helps students disconnect from distractions, build meaningful connections, and make the most of their two-week immersive experience, while still giving parents peace of mind that they can reach their child if necessary.
